Ask popcon [1]! Of course, it only reports people who choose to run popcon, but you can use it to compare against other packages' popularity (Warning: big list) [2]. And, of course, this won't show data on Ubuntu or by version (i.e. Etch/Lenny/Sid versions). The popcon link ([1]) includes a nice graph at the bottom showing the evolution of Cherokee's popularity in Debian - and you can see it nicely and steadily rising. Leonel, I will only please remind you to sync with the Debian packaging - As I said before, I invite you to use directly our Git repository [3]. Providing the latest upstream version is not worth it, IMHO, if it is in detriment of its packaging quality - And you have not incorporated in your packages several changes which are several releases old already - i.e. I note you are still listing GNUTLS as a build dependency [4]... According to your changelog, since you forked off 0.9.3-1 you have not synced, and you can see [5] there have been quite a bit of packaging improvements since then. Using the common git repository and the excellent git-buildpackage tool, our work can clearly benefit from each other. As it is now, users following your packaging will effectively carry on most of the packaging mistakes I have made (and tried to correct).
