Yes, I think that working together would work very well. I've taken our 2 ebuilds for 0.11.6, combined them, fixed all the issues noted on Gentoo's Bugzilla, and have it ready to patch for any other issues.
Do you have Mercurial? If so, I have a Mercurial server and I already have my Cherokee overlay on it, so I can just give you commit access. If you want to do that, I've set up https://aergia.dririan.com/~dririan/htdigest.php to generate the htdigest entry. The realm should be "Mercurial", without quotes. (That server is HTTPS only and uses a CAcert certificate, so you might have to accept a security warning if you didn't already install CAcert's root certificate from http://www.cacert.org/index.php?id=3.) Just send me an e-mail and I'll put the entry that's generated into Mercurial's htdigest and then you can commit and we can work together on the ebuilds :) PS: I apologize for the delay in responding, but I was on vacation until today.
