Like Pablo suggested, why not use the one provided on existing RPMs?

It has been 10 years since I last used Red Hat, so I couldn't tell if 
there's something wrong with it. It seems OK, though.
Anyway, launching Cherokee as "cherokee -d -C /etc/cherokee.conf" should 
suffice.
