I looked into it and I think it's a bug that occurs when using a chrooted cherokee. I filed a report for it: http://code.google.com/p/cherokee/issues/list?thanks=743&ts=1266245917
---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Denis Krienbühl <[email protected]> Date: 2010/2/15 Subject: Django wizard doesn't recognize project folder To: [email protected] Hello I tried to create a virtual server via django-wizard to connect with a newly created django project (i.e. I only just ran django-admin startproject test). But I can't finish the wizard because I get the error: "Directory doesn't look like a Django based project." My cherokee instance is chrooted. I checked and if I rename the folder, the wizard doesn't find it anymore, so it's not like the server is talking about a different folder. Still, it seems like the wizard can't find the manage.py file, even though it is there. I had a short look at http://svn.cherokee-project.com/browser/cherokee/trunk/admin/Wizard_Django.py, but I don't see how the check there could produce false results. Anyone has any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks in advance Denis
