It seems there is a bug somewhere. However, I'd like to clarify that many of these 'the server does not work and it hogs the CPU' issues are due a broken Gentoo package. Having said that, I'd encourage you to log as much information as possible on these bug reports: http://bugs.cherokee-project.com/765 http://bugs.cherokee-project.com/835 This bugs has been around for too long.
