I've submitted an update for the MacPorts portfile
for Cherokee-1.0.1 and testing shows it all works well.
The ticket is here:
http://trac.macports.org/ticket/25039
and includes both a Portfile diff and the complete Portfile
with the path location of where to install it, till the port
tree is refreshed with the change I just submitted.
Just deposit the Portfile per the ticket instructions and say:
port install Cherokee
30 seconds or so later you'll have a working server.
Follow auto-start details presented during build.
