PPA it's updated now. I was waiting for some ssl bug feedback and some
said it's working. even for me it's a no go for production.

If you just want to update the package with the new version IF theres no
debian package fix you can follow this recipe :

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PackagingGuide/Recipes/PackageUpdate

Or you can follow the main cherokee package for Debian Unstable

make your git clone :

git clone git://git.debian.org/git/collab-maint/cherokee.git
cd cherokee
git-buildpackage

Once Gunnar or myself have pushed the new cherokee to git.debian.org I
take that package then do the backport for Lucid and push it to PPA

As I've said on previous mails Karmic,Jaunty and hardy packages versions
they CAN NOT be builded from Lucid or Debian Unstable for dependencies not
meet.

So the package for these 3 is a fork from the current Lucid and Debian
Unstable.

If theres a bug in the package the pathes get ported from Lucid to karmic
an then the backport to Jaunty and Hardy
