Low traffic is 100 unique visitors by day. So, how many php child
processes do you recommend ?

Stefan and Ringo have told me that php-fpm could be an issue. I will look at it.
However, I am running php 5.2.6 (debian package) so I will need to
upgrade to php 5.3.3 which include php-fpm by default.
