Rafael,
It looks like, based on a quick overview of the yourls source code, that
it utilizes only a few rules for .htaccess. The remainder of the URL
handling is done via the applications MySQL database. Part of the install
process does seem to check and see if Apache is the webserver and if
mod_rewrite is enabled.
Then, it inserts the following into the .htaccess file:
'RewriteEngine On',
'RewriteBase '.$path.'/',
'RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f',
'RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d',
'RewriteRule ^([0-9A-Za-z]+)/?$ '.$path.'/yourls-go.php?id=$1 [L]',
'RewriteRule ^([0-9A-Za-z]+)\+/?$ '.$path.'/yourls-infos.php?id=$1 [L]',
'RewriteRule ^([0-9A-Za-z]+)\+all/?$
'.$path.'/yourls-infos.php?id=$1&all=1 [L]',
It would require some modifications to the yourls source code to adjust
these apache specific pieces and using the redirection handler (
http://www.cherokee-project.com/doc/modules_handlers_redir.html) to get
yourls to operate.
I haven't investigated the possibility thoroughly and there may be other
challenges to making it work, but it seems that it is quite possible with a
few adjustments.
