Hi I have an almost fresh Ubuntu Maverick 10.10 server install.
sudo apt-get install python-software-properties sudo add-apt-repository ppa:cherokee-webserver/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install cherokee sudo cherokee-admin Login: User: admin One-time Password: xxxxxxxxxxxx Web Interface: URL: http://127.0.0.1:9090/ [13/10/2010 09:10:51.442] (critical) bind.c:284 - Could not bind() port=9090 (UID=0, GID=0) I found similar error messages about Lucid, but no clear resolution. Any updated suggestions. The Maverick server is a cloned VirtualBox drive that needed this to get it a working network again. sudo rm -fr /etc/udev/rules.d/70-* sudo shutdown -r now Maybe this is the cause of the problems?
