I actually made some changes and now i get a different error
The operating system reported
'/usr/local/cherokee/lib/cherokee/libplugin_libssl.so: undefined symbol:
SSL_get_servername' while trying to load
'/usr/local/cherokee/lib/cherokee/libplugin_libssl.so'.

Looks like it could not load the libssl library. Have you tried to
set LD_LIBRARY_PATH pointing to your custom OpenSSL location?
