I'm about to order a speedometer ratio box from www.speedometershop.com to
finally get my speedo calibrated properly. My '66 currently has a Turbo350
(mid-70's I think) in it.
I currently have a 21-tooth red driven gear and can't replace it with
another as there are no gears that have 26-teeth for this transmission (I
calculated I needed 5 more teeth on it). So it's either change the drive
gear, or get the box....I'll get the box.
I have to count the drive gear number of teeth. Peering inside the tranny
from under the car, it is a light -purple- gear with....6 teeth? I was
wondering if someone could let me know if this is correct? Maybe there are
color/teeth combinations. Just to make sure I counted the right number, or
am totally off the wall. It was kinda hard to see in there from the angle I
could get.
Thanks,
Tom
