I would be inclined to treat these pieces the same as any exterior paint.
Wait 30 days for all of the solvents to fully evaporate from the painted
surfaces. Waxes and protectants can trap solvents under the surface of the
paint film which is known to cause the finish to dull irreversibly. This is
also known as die back.
