I've been sittin on this waiting for someone to post and confirm my
understanding. This info is from my haynes Manual for 69 thru 87
chevelles/malibus. I'm not 100% on this, but this is what I decipher:
KD - 2.73 non-locking 1969 thru 1971
C - Chevrolet (Buffalo Plant)
236 - Built on the 236 th day of the year
B - ???? If its a D it would be Day shift.
Possibly someone who really knows will update/correct this so I can
better understand it too.
