Don't really know where they come from, everybody is saying Mexico, all I
know is I am sold on crate engines; 1 year warranty no questions asked, put
on your manifold (sometimes heads) starter, distributer, and alternator and
you're done, reliable, no screaming at you machinist for his 'rebuilt' motor
blowing on the initial start up. I just like to try to keep things as
simple as possible, I'm still going to try to build that 396 that I got
given to me (OK so I worked for it) but I like crate engines for thier
warranty and such so if it screws up, they will replace it (no racing I
know, I don't do that anymore anyhow). I have thought maybe going
Pro-Touring with my Chevelle, well not exactly cuz that would interupt my
"look" but more or less just make it to where I can drive it affordably
anywhere I want (change out those 3.90s maybe get a whole new rear with a
peg leg with high gears, so when I go somewhere I change out the rear and
forget about it) But I'll shut up, got off my original response, so to
conclude I have no idea where they come from.
