I'm not sure where you are getting your information from, but Larry
is correct on this.
The 4L60 (700R4) is an overdrive based on the TH-350. 4L60E is electronic
version.
The 4L80 is an overdrive based on the TH-400. 4L80E is electronic version.
The 200-4R is an overdrive based on the TH-200.

Sounds like a 4L80 would be a good choice for a beefed up BBC in a 3600 lb
Chevelle if a 'near indestructable' overdrive is desired.
