It also originally came with a 350, but I narrowly missed getting it with the original engine & transmission. I am building a 283 from a 1958 Corvette block, and I bought a Turbo 350 transmission for it. Maybe some day I'll put a 350 back into it and try to make it look original, but right now I plan to drive it for a few years, and the 283 sort of fell into my lap.
