Can lead to belt slippage, resulting in early tire death. This can cause a blowout, which can cause human death. You would be better off not rotating them at all IMO. Personally, I would go 70s all around and rotate them every 5-6k miles, but that is a matter of opinion. As Mark said, checking your alignment regularly will help a lot, whether you rotate your tires or not. But then again, a decent tire costs about as much as a decent alignment. Also check your tire pressure regularly. Over-inflation will cause them to wear in the center of the tread first. Under-inflation (much more common) will cause them to wear on the outsides of the tread first.
