I am going to jump in on this one. I go to car
shows and see a nice looking car. You can tell that lots of time was put into
the body work and paint, then you go look in the engine compartment and see this
hugh of metal that was rough cut out and stuck to the firewall where the AC box
was. You see this really clean engine compartment with some piece of metal, just
slapped on the firewall to cover the hole where the AC was taken out. I alway
ask WHY? WHY put all that time on the car or in the engine compartment and not
fix this hole correctly.
You can buy the plate you need from Original
Parts Group or National Part Depot. Why cramp up a good thing with a mis-fit
part.
DO IT RIGHT, or do not bother with cleaning up the
engine.
