Replies to this message are sent to The Chevelle Mailing List ------------------------------------------------------------ Ken, Sorry for the slow reply. At this point all I know is the actual process is called Zinc Phosphate plating. I have heard the process is a little pricey but correct for the hood hinges/springs and hood latch assembly. I believe someone on Team Chevelle mentioned a company on the east coast that provides this service. I have not gotten the name of this business todate. Someone else here on the list might be able to provide that info. The alternative to the plating is paint. I have read thread were folks have been using products by Eastwood. They are Detail gray and Semi Gloss black paints in a color combination. Also, I have heard of another paint product called castblast that some say works well. If anyone can add value to this please do. Ken if I can figure out the service for phosphate plating that will be the route I will venture. That will be at a later date though.
