I am A NYC Policeman and i was there in the aftermath. There are no words to
describe the feelings of sorrow for all those innocent people and brave
Police and firefighters. I too have close personal friends who are at this
point unaccounted for. My heart and prayers go out to all there families and
friends. There is no suitable punishment for those responsible.
My commendations and heartfelt feelings for those of you who were in the trenches yesterday and will be today and in the coming weeks as we clean up after the terrorists. My hope is that the officers lost be duly noted as heroes for helping those who got out alive. The loss of life is staggering to me and this is definitely the worst tragedy I've ever witnessed in my lifetime.
Times like this make me very proud to be a part of this country and those who give their lives everyday to help keep the peace and maintain order....without people like yourself, we would be in questionable shape when it comes to events of this nature...my hat's off to you and I hope your friends and fellow officers are all accounted for.
