I recently replaced two windshields....happened to be home when the glass
man came by and watched him do the whole thing. He used a black thick,
paint-like substance after he wire brushed the rust spot. I was told by him
that using most anything else will prevent a perfect seal with the sealer
compound used before they set the glass.
