The knob just pulls off. I just removed the one I had. You can wait untill you have the dash removed to fix it. Use a stick or something soft and ply it off. Put the stick behind the knob and pull up on the other end. You can use a long screw driver just place felt or something on the end of the screw driver so that it does not damage the face of the switch.
