Not lame at all. The 325 and 350 HP 396s had hydraulic lifters and the 396/375 had solid lifters. Brad > Have the original 396/325 engine in my 1967 Chevelle > SS. Trying to research this basic question. Did this > engine have the solid or hydraulic lifters ?
