I am putting a center console in my automatic 71 Chevelle SS. Are there instructions on how and where to bolt it to the floor anywhere? There are two sets of mounting holes in the front part of the console, one through plastic and another set through the metal shifter plate bracket. Does the front of the console mount directly to the floor or does it mount on top of the carpet and pad? Thanks.
