Not only bring down the value but it'll make it next to
impossible to register in some states. I'd check with the local DMV,
explain the problem and see what steps need to be taken to get a
"replacement".

-----Original Message-----I received an email today froma guy who has a 69 Chevelle. 2 weeks ago he sent it out to have the body media blasted and when it came back the I.D. plate on top of the firewall was missing. He tried to contact the guy but does not think it will be found. Is there some way to replace it or is he out of luck. Also if it cant be found will this bring down the value of the car.
