David,
Try adjusting your kickdown cable, look in a manual or ask some one else 
because i am not exactly sure about the adjustment. or if you go the rebuild 
rout dont be intimidated, get the HP books book on the th350 and get a B+M 
kit, they have the best instructions and have the options of street, 
rv/heavy duty, or compitition, in reality it is a B+M trans in a kit.
