I thought the Caprice and Impala got the Chevy-built 4.3 V-6 as a base engine in the mid '80s. If it has the 4.3 it'll bolt up; as others have said a tranny mated to a 3.8 will need the "universal" bellhousing. Also, are you sure it's a TH350 and not a TH200-4R or TH700R4? My parents had a 305-powered '85 Caprice and it had a 4-speed overdrive automatic.
