I would definatly recomend replacing the rubber and window felts. it makes the whole car sound and look so fresh, combined with the fresh paint your elky will look really good. I would also recomend removing the windows, if it is the original windows the glue used to hold them in is probably old and crusty (my frinds 67 nova almost lost the rear window because the glue dried up and came loose) also with the glass gone you can paint the top of the dash and fix any rust in the window channels. It is not too much work, it beats having to mask the felts and rubber then deal with overspray.
