The 1970 LS6 was all cast iron and factory installed in Chevelle only. The 1971 LS6 Corvette had aluminum heads and was Corvette only in 71. << The LS6 wasn't aluminum, and I don't think the LSD was either. If memory serves me right, the LS7 was an over the counter option.
