I been a partner in a swap space (just our own extra stuff - we're
hobbyists, not pro's) at Iola for several years. It is billed as the biggest
car show / swap meet in the midwest. I'm not sure about that, but I think
they said last year there were 4300 swap spots.

The swap area is anything and everything automotive, plus lotsa other stuff.
It is not segregated as to pre-war, muscle, hot rods, etc, altho the show
car areas are. Most of the parts which have been purchased for my 2
Chevelles have either been bought at Iola, or the contacts were made there
which led to a buy later. Same story on my partner's two '67's. There are
usually bargains to be had, but just like everywhere, you need to hunt for
them. And just like everywhere else, the prices are higher the first day
than towards the end.

Last year we lost a '67 SS 4-sp console the first nite. This is the first
time we've ever had something stolen. This year we intend to be a little
more careful about providing our own overnite security. This will be a bit
of a change for us - we usually go home every nite. Iola is only 12 miles
from where we live!

Feel free to email offline if you want any further info.
