While on the subject of bumpers � something I picked up on the list some time back - If it�s going to be a driver - while the bumpers are off, clean them well and paint the back to keep from rusting. On my 71, I used a reproduction front (Goodmark) and had the rear re-chromed at Atlanta Bumper. The repo had an oily substance on it � cleaned them up and painted with silver POR-15, then sprayed with Rustolium metallic (chrome like). Make sure the edges are covered/sealed so the elements cannot sneak in. Put several coats of wax on the chrome first so if any over spray gets on it, it is easy to remove.
