I >would very much be pleased for any comments on my situation, thanks >greatly. ---Dan I had a 1979 C-10 305 (POS) that the head warped a bit from the PO's overheating problem, turns out it had a 2 core radiator....the same one he ran when it overheated (he never fixed the problem, just put on new head gaskets. A trip to Blaine's supply in Dallas for a new set of heads cured it though....for awhile. Seems the piston rings were shot too and shortly after the engine took a dive....check everything you can before deciding what to do, I should have replaced the entire engine, but listened to someone who wanted just to replace the heads (he's mechanic....haven't asked him to help me since).
