has it sold? if not its not worth $59.00 is it? you have to know your prices if you buy on ebay. last week i saw a 64-65 tach on ebay. they state it had a 5600 redline and that it came with wiring package. looking at the tach it clearly was 5200 and the harness was in a sealed package. i emailed the seller and asked them if the tach was a repop (the sealed wiring harness and the redline made me wonder) , what was the redline and if it was a repop i told them you could buy it anywhere for the $239.00 they had started the bids at. her reply to me? yes the redline was 5200, the tach was a repop and i was rude and to mind my own business. they were new to ebay (48 feedbacks is new ?) . she told me if i could get it cheaper go somewhere else. well she put a bee in my bonnet! i emailed her back told her it was very obvious what their intentions were and i was going to inform ebay .low and behold hours later the ad read 64-65 tach, reproduction and it was at $230.00. (oh by the w! ay at end of auction it didn't have one bid) :)
another time (when i first started buying on ebay) i won a NOS rear sway bar. after the shipping i paid $110.00 for it. when it showed up it had a bar code on it! i was furious! after calling two different dealers in town (both had over 5 in stock) i found out my cost was $70.00 (with my discount) or $84.00 retail. i emailed this clown. he argued since they weren't making it anymore it was NOS. i found 10 of these within 10 miles of home! no one told him they were discontinued. what he was selling was OEM. he had no intentions of refunding me or making it right. so to this day i email anyone who bids on any of his stuff and tell them the story. I'm sure with as many as I have emailed he has more than lost what he would have gained by refunding me the difference.
the message I'm trying to convey is "it ain't always what you see." I have almost 200 buys on ebay and have seen it all. Yes, there are tons of good sellers on ebay butt there are also tons who are flaky and will do anything to make a buck.
