I can vouche for this if it doesnt smudge then it will usually rubb off. I encountered this problem after i tore down my '70. But be careful when using the paper in the bag method because if you have old rusty and dirty bolts as i did then the paper could get smudged as well and torn to pieces. An option might be to get some heavy duty freezer bags that have a special area desinated for writing on.
