Sorry if you thought I was talking down to you. I've rewired my 70 twice. The best tool I had was the electrical schematic book and assembly manual. The first time I ran spools of red, black, blue, green and yellow..not the correct way but cheaper and functional at the time. Last year I put a harness back in the car using the assembly manual to route the wiring correctly. I figured the book would help more than saying between steering column and left bracket and so forth. I used wire ties to hold it in place. Once again sorry if you took that as a cop out answer "buy a book" The book will be more correct than the list 98% of the time.
