Ken here, hers why i asked and also would like to know if you can determin about how much HP it has i know dynoing would help but thats down the road. Bought the car 3 yrs. ago 72 HeavyChevy Chevelle with a 350 165 HP the person i got it from told me he has close to 5000.00 into the motor alone, he gave me the receipt from the machine shop but it doesnt go into detail as to what sizes he used in it, all i t shows is 1 set of HD Rod bolts,1 set of pistons 030 1 set rings 030, 1 set Rod,mainCambearingsF.Y., 1set OH Gaskets,1set ex HD valve seats, 1 Double row timing set, 1 comp cam (280/H10), 1set valve springs,1 set valve spring retainers, 1 set valvelocks, 1 set rocker studs, 1 Set p.c valve seals, 1 set1.6 exhaust valves, 16 valve springs. Note, it was rebuilt in 1992. total parts price is 1292.00 work done is 1- pressed pistons off and on Rods,2- degrease and astro flux crank and rods,3- r&r cam bearings andfreeze plugs,4- degrease block, 5- regrind crankshaft 010,010. 6- recondition rod bearingends.7- check rods for pin fit and hone.8- debur oil retun area.9- surface the block. 10- check main line total here is 975.00 more prts 1, pilot bushing 2- 1set push rods,3- 1 set long slot rockers, 4- 1 oil pump,screen and tube rod. 5- 1 intake manifold which was an edelbrock torqer2 single throat.total for those are 342.00 now balance and assy #3197 chamfer and micro polish the crank, distbeedblastheads and reassemble, grind valveand seatsmultiangle, machine heads for large valve springs, surface the heads intake side and gasket side, install screwin rocker studs,and assemble engine total here is 1867.00 i took off the intake manifold and put on a new #8004 weiand intake. the carb is a holley 750 dbl pump machanical secondaries, also has MSD 6albox and an MSD billet distributor set flow masters and set hooker comp headers thanks guys KenD 72 HeavyChevyChevelle ----------------------------------------------------- To Unsubscribe please visit www.chevelles.net/list.html To start a new topic, send mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
