Depends on what you're planning on doing with the car.  Remember, GM usually
put the 10-bolt behind lower horsepower cars (<300) and 12-bolts behind
higher horsepower cars.

Contradiction in terms :*)  The 12-bolt is going to be stronger and,
depending on where you find one will determine cost.

Not even all Chevelle rears are the same - see

would guess they would be the same respective to their years since they
shared a common chassis design.
