The 67 Chevelle (or any Chevelle 64-71 for that matter) wasn't offered 
with 4.33 gears - however, the GTO was (http://fteufert1.home.att.net/pontiac/rears.htm).  
I'd venture to say you have a GTO rear end and not a

There 
  is a posi unit that is currently in a '67 chevelle 12 bolt rear that I have 
  purchased.  Can anyone identify what the unit is called or what it might 
  have come from???  We counted the teeth and did the math.... its a GM 
  4:33 posi, but thats about all we know.  I did find out also that the 
  numbers 9 39 on the ring gear verify it's a 4:33.
