Well, it's been a month now and still no settlement for
the car that's totaled in my driveway. We finally find out today that the person
assigned to the claim was out of the office....they quit and didn't reassign the
claim. Now we have talked to the new person assigned to the claim and we might
be getting somewhere, they usually have things settled within a few days "they
say"....looks like both my insurance company and theirs dropped the ball.
I'll be dropping Germania as an agent very soon. They don't have the first clue
about how to handle things and the agent has been very short when dealing with
me.....I think he's got personal issues clouding the way he does
business....there as a lady yelling at him in the background (sounded like his
girlfriend/wife).
We are going to keep the car if it doesn't cost too much to
buy it back. Due to our home A/C going out, we are going to sell the car in one
piece instead of parting it out for the cash to fix the condenser. (When
it rains it pours...the home warranty won't cover it cause it wasn't
installed right by the former owner).
Anybody want a 1983 Elky with a Goodwrench 350 and
TH-350C tranny? The car runs and drives fine but isn't legal due to the
taillights & bumper being up under the tailgate. The rear window is
broken and the front bumper is a bit crooked. Here's some pics....it might
be a couple of weeks before it's available.....
Best offer over $1k takes it....
