Any headers will burn any wires. If your wires are getting burned, it sounds like they need to be re-routed. Wires are cheaper (and easier) to replace than headers.
With that said, I'm happy with my Hedman 1 5/8" headers on my 406 and would recommend them. Inexpensive and durable (so far).
