I just
got through doing the carpet on my '71 Malibu. My carpet was from Ausley's, and
seemed to fit fairly well. However, I did use the backing from the
original carpet to pad in areas where the new carpet wouldn't lay quite right
around the center hump. This seemed to work fairly well.
