I found out yesterday at the Long Island spring dust-off show in Merrick
that Tony & Sam have split up, and now Sam is running the whole show. The
new name & address is:

T&S Polishing & Plating Inc.
9 Baldwin Pl.
Bethpage, NY 11714
(516) 822-4303

I also found out that they do all the prep work themselves, but they send
the stuff out to be plated. The guy was nice enough to talk with and he was
pointing out some nice bumpers to me and saying that mine would come back
like that if he (re-)did them. They also do pot metal pieces, and you need
to specify whether you want to have pits filled or just ground (ground is
cheaper, but ends up looking like a half-melted emblem IMO).

Has anybody ever done anything with Tony and/or Sam? It would be great to
have somebody doing good bumper straightening & chroming locally, although
I'm a little leery of the fact that they are not doing all of the work
in-house. Seems like if my bumper is going to be sent somewhere, I kind of
want to know where it's going. I also have no idea how much he charges. If
anybody has any experiences with them, please let us know.

So far my top two choices are NorthStar Bumper Exchange, or Tri-City Plating
(based on what I've heard from satisfied customers). It also seems like a
lot of people have had bad experiences with Bumper Boyz, and my own
experience with Desert Dog is that the bumpers need to be polished out
better.
