The generic ones from the auto parts store did not work on my 71 Chevelle.  I stopped by the junk yard and got a bunch of them off 70's and 80's caprices etc.  They charged me a buck or two.  Real GM parts.

I have wasted hours trying to find replacements at auto parts stores, including bringing them home and trying to make them fit.  On my 71 front a arm you might need a clip 1/4" shorter than those at the auto parts store.

Subject: [Chevelle-List] Shock clip

Today while putting the front end together, I broke the clip that the bottom shock bolts screws into.  Can you purchase these at a local Auto Store or do I have to order them.  Thanks
