According to my MSA-1 guide 186s were used '68-72 and had either 1.94/1.5
or 2.02/1.6 valves with a 63.3cc chamber. Definitely on the factory
hi-po sheet, but it doesn't help ID the engine as they were used on
302s, 327s, and 350s. Best I can do is say he has a large-journal
engine with 4" bores. ;^) The block casting number (rear of block) and
engine ID code from the small pad just forward of the passenger cylinder
head are needed.
