Not that it matters much. Most of the stuff that is made in the USA is not necessarily of a better quality. It hurts to say that, but its true. Take it easy.
We should all be thankful that the Japanese (and other countries) give Detroit some competition. Otherwise, history shows we'd be driving limited technology vehicles that were overpriced with limited options. The Big three are big business. Big business is not always bad, but without competition, you can be sure it's not always good.

And yes, foreign companies do provide employment for millions of American workers.

1995 Corvette, computerized and technologically advanced, made in the USA too. AND, on the foreign side of the garage, a Honda motorcycle, with a twin spar aluminum frame and a single sided swingarm and water cooled engine, saving me from Harley Davidson two wheeling.
And a VW Jetta, the wifes car. Made in Mexico, I believe....
