A guy on the Corvette Forum makes brackets to mount fire extinguishers to the seat track of some of the Corvettes. He might be able to do one for Chevelles, but he would need access to one nearby. He says he is in Washington State about 40 miles south of Seattle. If anyone might be able to let him see the car for measurements, maybe he would make you a good deal!
