I agree. A carb can be changed easily. I also agree that you mostly likely
wanted a 750 carb. A 450 would be small for a 396. A 750 could be also big
if this is a stock motor. Myself, I do not like Holley. They are more
trouble than it is worth. I would look at a Edelbrock. Edelebrock has
500,600,750 that run great.
