A guy sent me this email looking to sell a 70 LS6 motor, but has no idea what
it is worth. Here's the particulars:

Casting: 3963512 - TO119CRV - 10A135707
What I have is the long block and all the original internals EXCEPT the orig.
cam as I have a CompCam 292 in her now along with a Offy Tunnel ram with
2X660 Holley carbs. I do not have the accessories or distributor as I am
running a Vertex Mag and big headers. It is a standard bore 454. The heads
are 3964291 108cc 327 intake with 1.88 ex valves and 2.19 in valves. I
haven't checked the dates on the heads, but I can very easily. The motor
runs very strong and I can takes pics/video for interested parties to view.
The compression test was 190 lbs and only 2 cyl came in a 160lbs - test was
done with motor cold. I am currently running this motor in my
V-Drive boat, occasionally lake racing but I take very, very good care of my
iron, and I haven't spun her past 6000RPM's, when I do hit 6 grand it is
usually for 600'. I do not know what I will be asking for this LS-6, but I
will tell you I am selling this motor to help me buy a Merlin as I am going
to build a 540 pump gas motor with a tunnel ram. My book says this motor
came from the infamous '70 Chevelle 4 speed 454/450HP and I hope the car is
still around as someone could have a #'s matching LS-6.

What do you think this motor is worth??

Thanks

Donnie
