Thanks for the kind words everybody. It's definitely a good feeling to see one come out of a junkyard and come back to a nice roadworthy condition. The best way to keep the hobby alive is to keep the cars alive IMO. This won't be a points-winning car because I am not doing the frame and it has the wrong engine & transmission in it, an SS hood, and is on its way to being the wrong colors according to the body tag. I intend to have a lot of fun with it though, and it will be great for hauling parts. This is the first time (after many old cars) that I am getting to do the whole thing over before I ever drive it. You can imagine it will be a good feeling the first time I turn the key.
